Ft. McKinley in 1945

This is a set of photos of the quarters we lived in at Ft. McKinley as they appeared in 1945, when my Dad returned as part of the PhilRyCom Staff that was planning the invasion of Japan. The quarters and the flag pole are visible in the panorama of the 14th Engineers (above).
The group photo is also from 1945, showing some of the survivors of C Company, 14th Engineers. My Dad, then a Colonel, is in the middle. He was delighted to establish contact with his former soldiers, and was able to help many of them after the war. He returned to the States in 1947.
