MARCIANO BAGAYAS and NEMESIO/NEMISIO VALDEZ
Apr 03rd, 2014, 6:46pm

I am the granddaughter of two scouts and I am trying to compile information on them for myself, my grandmother and my father. They both served in WWII and was wondering if anyone can help me find specifics about their military service?

their names are:

Marciano Bagayas
born in the Philippines, JULY 4 1904
*brothers Benito and Suprano were also Scouts, Benito died during WWII
Reported by daughter to have served at Clark Air Base and have lived in San Fernando, Pampanga with his wife Feliza and 4 children.
Reported by brother Suprano (also a Philippine Scout but escaped from the Japanese) to have died of Malaria in Camp O'Donnell.

-and-

Nemesio (sometimes spelled Nemisio) Valdez
born in the Philippines, JULY 1 1917
**Per papers found in Salt Lake's Family History Center:
"married and manufactured electric machinery as a civilian,
enlisted Aug 24 1946 for Hawaiian Department,
Private, Philippine Scouts"
**Per inscription on grave at Fort Custer Nat'l Cemetery:
"Philippine army, US army, NE army, 1st Sgt. WWII"
died in Michigan, MARCH 14 2004

Anything helps, thank you! ;D
