Medals/Awards Grandfather Eligible For?
Jun 05th, 2010, 7:28am

My grandfather, Col. Kerr, USMA 1921 was career Army, commanded the 88th Field Artillery PS, survived Bataan march and camps and died at sea on Japanese POW slave ship headed to Japan. His service record was destroyed in Record Center fire and I have no record of awards/medals. No DD214 as well. Is there some way of reconstructing or determining these would you think? Does anyone recall him? THANKS

Thought others might find these pictures of my GF interesting. All taken just before Japanese invaded. 1st-GF escorting/touring famous Clair Booth Luce around island. 2nd-GF (right) setting up island defenses. 3rd- GF.

He is entitled to numerous awards and decorations according to copies of documents reviewed in the computer.

I sent a private message.
