Santo Tomas Camp - Albert Wilkins
Apr 05th, 2010, 10:57am

Hello - my grandfather recently passed away at age 100. Among his belongings were numerous items from his brother Albert Wilkins. Al was apparently kept at Santo tomas Internment Camp for 3 years and one month (until it was liberated in 1945).

I only knew my great uncle Al for a few years until he passed away in 1969. He was from Philadelphia. Apparently he operated a bar (and brothel?) in Manilla and was imprisoned once the Japanese came.

If anyone has any info on him, it would be greatly appreciated. I have numerous pictures and documents but I'd love to know more about him, especially if anyone knew him personally.

Thanks!
