Death March Markers
Oct 15th, 2007, 5:18pm

Hello Friends
The Death March Markers are a constant reminder to us in the Philippines of the tragedy of the defeat in the Philippines and  the immeasurable sacrifices there by the Philippine and US Forces.
Walking the Death March Route and documenting the  state of the Death March Markers, the other Battle Field Markers and the Memorials along that route has been one of my goals since my return to the Philippines, this year of 2007.
Here are the images of the beginning of that project and I hope to have it finished by the end of this year, 2007. This is the URL in my ‘photobucket account’.

The above URL has been a dead link, don’t know why, but it is active again as of  2011-Aug. 08.  Wink

Hello Friends
On the 31st of Dec 2007 I finished retracing the Death March, from Bagac to Pilar, from Mariveles to San Fernando.
By uploading some of my images of those walks, I tried to show the present status of the Death March Marker ( DMM ) project. The condition of every marker, I found, is shown. These images show  the Sponsors and Honorees of the DMMs.
Local communities or entities from abroad have placed other memorials and  or plaques along the way; those I found are also shown.
Here is the URL:

After it opens one has to choose sub albums.

In the Rainy Season 2008 I will visit Capas ,Camp O’Donnel and the Cabanatuan Camp and then will add those images of those areas.

On 8th Nov. 2007  I walked up Mount Samat and made three albums, one can find them in this URL:

The above URLs have been a dead links, don’t know why, but they are active again as of  2011-Aug. 08.

This project is now complete and all the albums have been completed.
You have to click on the sub albums:

Here are some small images from those links.
