Reading, PA WWII Weekend and Airshow

I attended the Reading, PA WWII Weekend airshow. There were hundreds of reenactors representing many different armies. There was the Bataan area with beached navy personnel and grounded airmen reenactors. Some had Philippine Division patches but I was the only Filipino representing the native Scouts.

My friend who also does the PS impression had to come in as Japanese for the staged public reenactment skirmish. (someone had to play the other side)

While suiting up was fun. Talking to visitors and telling them all about the PS was the most fulfilling. The highlight of the day was when one lady approached me and said that her late dad was with the 92nd CA PS. She told me how much she appreciated seeing the Scouts represented in the event. To me this what this hobby is all about.

Great photos of your Philippine scout Victor ! Thanks for showing!. Were planning on putting together with other pinoys here in california to represent the Philippine scouts too. The guys present site below;
