Liberato E. Sabio
Aug 19th, 2005, 9:56am

Looking for anyone who remembers my grandfather, Liberato E. Sabio.

Before the war, he was stationed at Ft McKinley working at the motorpool and later at the Quartermaster Depot. His rank then was 1st Sgt.  When the war started, he fought in Bataan, survived the death march and was later released from Camp O'Donnell.  He then joined the guerillas in Bulacan, Luzon and given the rank of Lt. Colonel.

My mom doesn't remember who was the commanding guerilla officer, but he was American.  She was 13 yrs old at the time.  She just remembers that her dad was often gone to return only to make sure they were okay.  The family stayed within the guerilla camp.

I'm looking for any information or memories anyone may have of  my grandfather.

Thank you so much.
