PFC Alfonzo Fontanos -The granddaughter of PFC Alfonzo (or Alfonso) Fontanos (R-320400), 12th Medical Battalion (PS) would appreciate finding out more about her grandfather who was declared MIA in the Philippines during WWII. According to the American Battle Monuments Commission website, he is listed on the Tablets of the Missing at the Manila American Cemetery, Fort Bonifacio, Manila, Philippines. His death is listed as March 31, 1946, which appears inconsistent with the MIA status. The family would appreciate having this inconsistency explained and would like to receive any further information on his military service during WWII.
