Children of Americans in the Philippines
Jul 29th, 2004, 2:41pm

Hi...this may be an unusual request, but I do not know where else to turn.  I have recently discovered that while my grandfather was stationed on Corregidor in 1941/42, he fathered a son with a local girl, who attempted to contact him after the war.  Are there any organizations that exist in aiding Filipino/American children of U.S. soldiers to find their relatives?  Any info. that you could give me would be greatly appreciated! Thanks,
Derek

You might ask the Philippine Embassy for their suggestions.  Editor

With regards to your last email including the special request from someone who was inquiring about his grandfather who fathered a son with a local girl who attempted to contact him after the war.  Please have them send me the particulars regarding this case so I can then forward this information to a local organization that assists Fil-American childrens of US soldiers to find their relatives.
