AAD Archives

Good day! We knew my wife's father was a regular army band member but wanted to know which band, when and where...so we wound up downloading his re-enlistment aad.archives information:
31510199
MESSINA#FRANK###########
MASSACHUSETTS
SUFFOLK
FT BANKS BOSTON
MASSACHUSETTS
PVT#
8
000
00  Branch Immaterial - Warrant Officers, USA
#
6    Enlistment for the Panama Canal Department
6    Enlisted Man, Philippine Scouts
13  Massachusetts
21  Year of Birth
1    White, citizen
2    2 years of high school
021   MUSICIAN, INSTRUMENTAL
2  Married
1   Regular Army (including Officers, Nurses, Warrant         Officers, and Enlisted Men)
Card Number: 9
Box Number: 0451
Film Reel Number: 3.173

So, Frank was regular Army and when he re-enlisted in 1946 it says he was in the Philippine Scouts. This is all the information received to date from any source, he just never talked about his service in the military, we're hoping someone in the PSHS can speak for him: what unit, doing what and when and where.
Best regards, Pete
