Santo Tomas Internment Camp STIC in Verse and Reverse STIC-toons and STIC-tistics should have a brown cover that looks a bit like sawali, a Japanese Flag and a gate.
There were about 3,700 Allied civilian internees plus hidden military at STIC.
The book could have arrived in England  via a British ex-prisoner of Santo Tomas. I would not be surprised to find out the ex-internee died and the family did not know what it had, both in monetary value and in informational value.
Currently, this book is raising in value, boy! Does she know how to find a bargain.
2008, the book was selling around 200 USD  or 135.34 GBP  or 153.16 EUR
2009, selling for 300 USD or 203 GBP  or 230 EUR

Does anyone have any information on Margaret K. Pierce (wife of BG Clinton A. Pierce) imprisoned at Santo Tomas from 1942-1945?

Thanks

Thanks Sue for the links which I followed through.
What made it all the more interesting was that on the link page there is a listing of people that were interned in the camp. One of the families quoted was for the surname STOCK, our family name. Then it transpires that this was infact an English man working abroad who's home in the UK was only about 60 miles away from our family home. This now makes me wonder if there is any connection between us.
How amazing that a book can open up so many questions to which we can try and find the answers.

Once again many thanks...Paul

Hi Andrew,
Have you written to the Pierce's daughter, Shirley Joan, for help?
Check your personal messages for her address and phone.

Margaret was born in Greenville, Texas, 25 Sept 1895.

Unfortunately I had to move my site to a new location and I am trying to contact as many people as I can to avoid them having dead links on their websites.  The new link to my site is http://ithascome.bravehost.com/index.html.  Please update your bookmarks and links.  Thank you and I am sorry for the inconvenience
