Resource linkages including Veterans Benefits
Mar 2nd, 2004, 10:38pm

The Philippine Scouts Heritage Society website Resource page contains linkages with almost 20 sites, including the following:

The Department of Veterans Affairs and the U.S. Embassy in Manila for information on resources available to veterans.

The American Historical Collection in the Rizal Library, Ateneo de Manila University contains approximately 13,000 books, 16,000 photographs, and other materials related to the American experience in the Philippines and to the relationship of the two countries.

Fort Sam Houston Museum, San Antonio, Texas is the official USG repository for Philippine Scout memorabilia.

Veterans History Project:  The Philippine Scouts Heritage Society is an official partner of the Library of Congress and the American Folklife Center in the Veterans History Project.

Also, towards the bottom of the "Exchange" page is a bibliography of books and articles on the Philippine Scouts and related subjects.

Book Reviews of "On A Mountainside: The 155th Provisional Guerrilla Battalion Against the Japanese on Luzon" by Malcolm Decker and "Bataan Diary" by Chris Schaefer can be found on the "Articles" page of the website.

I didn't know if you were aware: but all the links in the above message are now gone, and they do not link anywhere.

Thanks -
