Can anyone confirm that Bienvenido A. Arcilla (SSN 551-23-9177) was a Philippine Scout from December 11, 1941 to February 10, 1945? He may have served with the 26th Cavalry, Signal BN, U.S. Army under Col. Josha Stansell.

Arcilla's unit the 26th Cav. Regt PS had no Signal Bn. other than a communication platoon like all combat regiments the 43rd, 45th and 57th Inf. Regts PS. Is he can give his Service serial number it would be easy to trace him by the DoD or Missouri. In the New 12th Inf. Div. New PS which was organized after WW II was formed for occupation duty in Japan but it did not materialize because they were not naturalized American citizens.

George A. Rummel, Jr. of Brick, N.J. writes that "Bienvenido A. Acilla is not on the December 1941 roster of the 26th Cavalry."
